Where are you from?
I am from the state of Georgia with in the United States.
Why did you want to become a Photographer?
Photography was something that unexpectedly came along in my life. My family purchased a camera and I had so much fun playing outside and finding beautiful things that I may not have noticed without the camera. It is a great creative outlet for me and I am happy to have found it!
Why did you choose this particular shot to be your favorite photograph?
“First Life from a Winter’s Sleep” is my newest work and probably my favorite I have taken. The main inspiration behind the photo was for a little boy names Seth who was born without an immune system. he asked everyone to wear yellow for a day in honor of him. So I decided to take things a little further. One of the meanings behind the daffodil is rebirth or new life. Not only does this symbolize Seth, but it also represents me and my journey with photography. I have long been in a “winter sleep” and have been very uninspired from it. This was the rebirth of my inspiration and a reassuring feeling that I can still create. I was so doubtful that I would be able to create a daffodil dress and it came out more beautiful then I could have imagine. Very, very grateful all came out well and I feel so rejuvenated.
