Where are you from?
I am from Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
Why did you want to become a Photographer?
I first wanted to become a photographer to provide myself with a creative outlet and to share my prospective with the world. As I developed my techniques and traveled around, I wanted to capture the endless beauty of this planet in hopes to inspire people to get out there and see what this world has to offer. Photography helps me to realize the importance of living in the present moment, slowing down and capturing the beauty that is all around us.
Why did you choose this particular shot to be your favorite photograph?
– I chose this photograph because it was during this time I learned how hard some people in this world have to work on a daily basis. This is a photo of a woman in northern Vietnam, who walks 12km from her rural home in Sapa into town everyday to sell the vegetables she grows on her land. This is her daily ritual, and despite weather and health conditions, she will continue to do this everyday to provide for her family.
