Where are you from?
I was born in a part of the world called Israel & staying there is just a matter of time…
Why did you want to become a Photographer?
From a young age I was drawn to the world of creation and creating worlds, in the beginning it was theater which in turn changed into films. After some time in editing i found myself behind the camera. I learned to be moved by beams of light, to get excited over moments in time that otherwise (without my camera) would just sneak right past me, the beauty this world has to offer. Most of us don’t have the time or the means to notice those moments, that’s the reason why it is so important for me to bring those moments into appreciation.
Why did you choose this particular shot to be your favorite photograph?
This photo is an example to life’s amazing randomness. a barefoot child riding a white horse at the other side of the Ganges river in Varanasi, i just went on a boat that swept by the current to the other side, the horse was so white and meticulously well kept in one of India’s dirtiest places. it felt to me like it was stationed there in order to bring some sort of equilibrium to the total chaos of the city.
Anything else you want to add?
I wish that the experience of anyone who sees this image could restore itself in everyday life. make us look for 3 minutes at the process, object, another person that our entire attention and consciousness are focused on him, we could find so much beauty and depth in the world that maybe in turn will help to slow down the pace in which information is flowing in front of our eyes without immersing into our hurts.
