Where are you from?
I was born in Poland, grew up mostly on big farms owned by my grandparents and run by my mum and dad. When I was 7 my family moved to The Netherlands. Recently I’ve been living in Perth, Western Australia.
Why did you want to become a Photographer?
I never planned to ‘become’ a photographer. When my family moved to The Netherlands the connection with nature was lost, replaced by an urban environment and a fast paced life. As I’ve slowed life down, the re-connection to nature has been growing. Instead of ‘just’ photographing landscapes, I find more joy to capture ‘Nature’ in all it’s shapes and forms. Nature grabs you in many different ways and can impress and touch the soul, all you need to do is look, listen and feel. I try to capture a feeling and the show Mother Nature puts up for us everyday.
Why did you choose this particular shot to be your favorite photograph?
This is one of my favorites because it was one of my most fun wildlife experiences. The Western Australian Sea lions are natures puppy dogs an incredibly curious and playful. This shot was one of the easiest shots I ever made underwater, F8 and be there.
