Where are you from?
currently live in Alberta,Canada, but I am from Newfoundland.
Why did you want to become a Photographer?
I have always loved photography, but never took it seriously until almost seven years ago after I had a stroke and heart operation.A few months later I started taking my camera for daily walks while I was piecing my life and health back together. Photography helped me slow down and distress as I learnt to see beauty in everything around me. While I have continued to suffer a few medical set backs on my road to recovery, my camera is always ready and waiting to get me back on track. I teach photography now so I can share my passion with everyone. My husband calls me the local photography crack dealer as I am trying to get everyone hooked on my drug of choice! As I am a huge gear junkie it probably costs about the same! 😉
Why did you choose this particular shot to be your favorite photograph?
I chose this shot because it was my beginning. The first photo I took with the intent of doing photography. I had just joined a local camera club and I needed an image for a photography competition. This photo won first place. While it has won me many other awards, the first one will always be the sweetest.
Anything else you want to add?
Photography is a journey, not a race. Slow down and take the time to see the immense beauty in all that surrounds you.
