Where are you from?
I’m from Dawson City Yukon Canada

Why did you want to become a Photographer?
I wanted to become a photographer because even people who don’t like me like my pictures.
Lots of people tell me that I’m good at it yet I just point and shoot really, I don’t really know what kind of photographer I am really, I just photograph what I see and enjoy sharing it with the world.
I have not been very good at many other things in this journey of life, but nobody ever told me that I’m not any good at photography

Why did you choose this particular shot to be your favorite photograph?
one of my favorite pictures of this winter’s Europa journey
It’s my personal favorite from Transylvania Romania
Taken in on a sunny December day 2015.
I was driving through an ancient Romanian town in Transylvania by an old Medevil fortified Church.
I had 2 young English-speaking Transylvanian brothers with me.
As I was talking pictures of the church I saw this old guy with one leg hobbling down the road on crutches.
I took a few of him from behind and then I had to ask him if I had his permission to take his picture
I asked my Romanian friends if they could ask him as they don’t speak much English in rural Transylvania
The old guy laughed and smiled and told the brothers to tell me I could take as many as I wanted
I took a few black and white and a few colour as he laughed and smiled and chatted with the brothers in Romanian, a language as for which I’m clueless I asked him if he wanted a ride in my car some where.
Bring as how he had on leg and was walking with crutches I assumed he would say yes. He laughed some more and said that it was a nice day for a walk and winter was near so he wanted to enjoy the sun. He asked me for a cigarette. I told him I don’t smoke but I told my Romanian friends to give him all the cigarettes that they had and that I would replace them later.
This is the look on his face when the brothers handed him 2 nearly full packs of Pall Mall cigarettes.
Still had the camera on black and white
I don’t think colour could ever be as expressive as this old Transylvania dude’s smile.
So that’s why its my personal favorite of lately
