Where are you from?
Essex, England, UK.
Why did you want to become a Photographer?
It sounds clichéd, but from a very young age I was always fascinated by nature – when that enthusiasm returned a few years ago, nature and landscape photography became an extension of that fascination. I work full time in the City of London but I get out as much as I can with my camera’s and through the medium, I have met some very good friends.
Why did you choose this particular shot to be your favorite photograph?
This image is was taken on the Shetland Islands – one the most beautiful, remote and rugged places I know. I love it there and have visited several times. The Gannets that live on the cliffs there fascinate me. They are stunning birds and I can watch them for hours. I spent a long time with this particular bird. She was sitting on her nest would occasionally crane her neck round to look at this madman who was perched on a ledge pointing a large lens at her. The light that day was stunning and hence, it has become my favorite shot.
