Where are you from?
I’m originally from the Seattle area (Redmond WA). I currently live in Spokane, WA.
Why did you want to become a Photographer?
I might not have become a photographer if it weren’t for my wife. She showed an interest in my dads Pentax Spotmatic film SLR, and I started playing around with it and realized the amazing amount of creativity available. Soon after, I purchased my first digital SLR, and from there it went. With my love for the outdoors, and 30+ year of backpacking experience, landscape photography was a natural fit.
Why did you choose this particular shot to be your favorite photograph?
“Frosty Morning Palouse” is one of my favorites because it takes me right back to the morning I shot it. It was a cool crisp morning and the wheat had just started to show for the spring. I always get so excited to do photography down there when spring shows it’s signs.
